• Flat Rock Playhouse is another iconic attraction. Founded in 1952, the playhouse was named as the State Theatre of North Carolina in 1961. Tourists and theater aficionados regularly flock to the Flat Rock Playhouse as it produces adaptations of popular musicals and plays all year round.
